A GOOD WEEK FOR WRITING

  • Jan. 24th, 2007 at 12:02 AM

Today I spent quit a bit of time on line with the editor of a well-known series of anthologies. It is looking very good for my story to be included in the latest book in the series and that would just delight me.

It is about some very dear friends of mine who founded a vaulting team that is 1/3 handicapped and 2/3 non-handicapped. Valley View Vaulters (www.valleyview.com) is the only team to include handicapped members in the American Vaulting Association and they consistently win competitions. There is no special consideration in the judging. My friends always place the needs of others before their own. I hope it makes the final cut, because the world needs to know about these fine people.

The next piece of news is that a story about my former mother-in-law, THE SECOND TIME AROUND, is going to be included in an upcoming book entitled The Shortstack: Twenty Stories to Fill You Up. It should be out some time in late 2007 or early 2008. That one is a real fun story about how my former mother-in-law remarried her ex-husband after not seeing him for 38 years.

To complete what has been happening, we are getting closer and closer to having A CORPSE IN THE SOUP published as an audio book.

As if that wasn't enough, my sister and co-author for the Silver Sister series, Phyllice, got a wonderful spread in the McMinnville News Register.

Thank you God of Writing...
